Don't worry about the people from your past.
There's a reason they didn't make it into your future.

Déjà vu and Curiousity
Why those two words? Because it pretty much sums up the overall feelings of the day.
I'm actually a very private person, so I won't go all emo on you right here where billions of people could read my words of woe. If I ever do open up, however, let me say that I'm a fan of poems and symbolisms. My best writings are my most personal ones, and I like to think that I'm good at 'masking' my inner turbulence behind my words. I don't know if I will write anything worthy today though. I really want to, but I have PMS and it freaking hurts. I can't think straight. I. Want. To. Scream.
Déjà vu (dzhä v
) :
Because something very familliar happened today, in a way where it kinda gutted me a little. Though I was a little bit surprised that it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. Maybe because what I saw wasn't as bad as the one before. Maybe because I was in so much pain before, it made what I felt didn't matter as much. And maybe... Well, maybe it's just time.
Curiousity (kyr

) :
I both love and fear prodding the unknown. I haven't felt this curious in a while. In a loooooong while, let me say. It's like jabbing around in the dark. I'm scared shitless and I don't even know if I want to go on, but I won't lie. I'm curious about that light I see in the distance. And that was probably why I wasn't bothered about the déjà vu thing that should have bothered me today.

festival wars.
In June '09, good stuff is heading down to Manchester, Tennessee:

Whoa, that's a mouthful. Look at the line-up. MGMT! Of Montreal! Raphael Saadiq! Citizen Cope! Crystal Castles! Band of Horses! Coheed and Cambria! The Decemberists! Dude, IT'S PERFECTION.
While we, in Kuala Lumpur, gets this in March:

"A four-day, multi-stage camping festival held on a beautiful 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee every June. Bonnaroo brings together some of the best performers in rock and roll, along with dozens of artists in complementary styles such as jazz, Americana, hip-hop, electronica, and just about any contemporary music you can think of. In addition to dozens of epic performances, the festival's 100-acre entertainment village buzzes around the clock with attractions and activities including a classic arcade, on-site cinema, silent disco, comedy club, theater performers, a beer festival, and a music technology village. For its peaceful vibe, near-flawless logistics, and unrivaled entertainment options, Rolling Stone magazine named this revolutionary entertainment experience one of the 50 moments that changed the history of rock and roll." If you can't read the line-up clearly, I'll just mention the only international act there is: N.E.R.D. And rumour has it, Pharell Williams won't even be joining the rest of the band in KL... What? I know, UNFORGIVABLE. This is such a let down from last year's Incubus, John Legend and The Roots. People are already trying to re-sell their tickets...
For the Pineapple Concerts Sdn Bhd guys: I'm sure you tried your best, but you did a bad move on selling the early bird tickets without having the line-up confirmed. We had our hopes on Coldplay, Foo Fighters, RHCP and god knows whatever hearsay come our way, and then - BAM! - we get bits and pieces of N.E.R.D. What happened?
On a happier note: JAMIROQUAI is performing for SPEEDZONE! Hell yes.

3 more reasons to love MGMT.
Ah, my two favourite potheads trekking around London town with their dark humor and dripping sarcasm. ♥
"Maybe it's 'cause we're hippies."
"Yeah."
Pfft. Oh you, hilarious boys.
You know, I haven't liked a band this much in eons. And when I say 'like' I meant that in a horrid sense. As in, not just like their music. But also at how amazingly cool they are. I'm not even gonna start on describing how much I love Andrew VanWyngarden. I want to move to Brooklyn because of Andrew VanWyngarden (though I think it was mentioned somewhere that he's originally from Memphis.. Heck, I'd move to Memphis for Andrew VanWyngarden).
Dude, I think I'm bordering on 'freakishly fanatical'. I could scream ten thousand decibels if they ever said 'Hello' to me on the streets. I could start clawing their clothes off. I could pin them down before you could even say 'MGMT' and take them both in one-- Okay, I'm lying. Prolly not that much. But when was the last time I gushed over a frontman?
P.S: Andrew's obviously high as a kite in all three vids, lol. It's weird how I dig watching stoned boys doing whatever they're doing.
